AI policy is a comprehensive framework implemented by various organizations—whether private or public—to control the growth and usage of AI technologies. This may incorporate both juridical requirements and internal regulations encompassing a wide array of topics, such as data privacy, explicability and openness, liability and accountability, accountability, boil mitigation, and socioeconomic impact. Moreover, regulations restricting AI use can provide clarity for oversight and guidance steps needed when developing novel advancement, forming the basis of consistent paradigms leveraging machine learning. Through the establishment of AI policy, further harms from the use of AI can be prevented and the ethical practices of utilizing technologies can be highlighted.
